West Sussex County Council has recently submitted a planning application to the South Downs
National Park to remove the derelict buildings from the site, improve the surroundings and use the
area to locate a number of large batteries contained in single-storey containers.
The planning authority has now validated application and the consultation period is underway. A
decision date has been set as April 3rd. To ensure residents are aware of the project and have the

Local.
The following dates and venues are currently scheduled:
• Wednesday 6th February (2pm-4pm), Sompting Big Local
