TRANSPORT IN SOMPTING

Bus Stop flag in Busticle Lane, Sompting - served by Compass Bus route 16 and Stagecoach route 7The railway line from Portsmouth, Chichester, Littlehampton, Bognor and Worthing to Brighton (The Coastway Line) and London runs through the south of Sompting. The nearest station is Lancing, where trains run directly to these destinations. There is also an hourly direct service to London, as well as some other cross-country trains. There are three bus routes that run through Sompting:

Service 16. Hourly off-peak service Monday-Friday: South Lancing (Broadway Caravan Park), Lancing, Boundstone, Cokeham Road, Busticle Lane, Lyons Farm, East Worthing, Worthing Hospital, Worthing, South Farm Road, Tarring.

Service 7. Every 20 minutes during the day Monday-Saturday, hourly evenings and Sundays: Lancing, North Sompting, Busticle Lane, Sylvan Road (not evenings or Sundays), West Street, Lyons Farm, Broadwater, Worthing Station, Worthing.

"The Pulse". Every 10 minutes during the day Monday-Saturday, hourly evenings and Sundays: Lancing, Cokeham Road, Western Road, Worthing Hospital, Worthing, Goring, Durrington.
