New Bus Shelters for Sompting.

Two new bus shelters have been installed - one at Inglecroft Parade in Cokeham Road (pictured below), the other at Ennerdale Drive in Western Road.

Both shelters replace existing shelters that have become life expired. The Parish Council has chosen this new wooden design as its standard as it feels they better reflect the semi-rural village feel of Sompting. The Ennerdale shelter replaces the previous wooden shelter that had begun to rot, and the Inglecroft shelter has taken the place of the unpopular metal shelter. By installing the new shelter the other way round, not only does this give better protection from the elements, it has also allowed the new shelter to have sides as well.

The Parish Council also intends to install a noticeboard on the back of this shelter for its public notices, and the intention is that more will be invested to bring the rest of the area up to the standard of the new Bus Shelter.
