FINANCESompting Parish Council obtains its income from the annual precept, which is divided between all Council Tax paying households in the Parish. The precept is set at the annual budget meeting, usually held in January. The precept for the year 2008/9 is £33,650, which equates to £10.98 for a "Band D" property.
